Blending in elements of soul, R&B and rock, Dallas-based singer/songwriter Larry g(EE) is back with a new single. After about a year of not releasing new music, Larry g(EE) has rekindled his love of songwriting, through the encouragement of the team at the Garland-based studio, Pure Life Entertainment. Larry g(EE)’s new single, “Sleeping in My Car” is a moment of catharsis for the singer. “Sleeping in My Car is about a relationship dying down,” he says, “But also, the person is finding the light in the darkness and basically calling the person out on that B.S.” After the dissolution of said relationship, Larry took time away from music. He didn’t think he would ever make music again, however, music helped him pick himself back up. “I got some encouragement from friends to get back into music,” he says. “I started doing small gigs again, and it was kind of my way of keeping the chaps wet. I started feeling rejuvenated and finding my love for music again.” Larry describes his new music as something entirely different from what he’s done in the past. “I went into the session not knowing what the song was going to sound like, and we created a song on the spot,” he recalls. “I’ve always wanted to but I’ve never been able to create a power ballad.” As a supporter of local arts, Larry is also a proponent of supporting local businesses, including those who produce great spirits, “There’s not a lot of places that distill vodka in Dallas,” Larry says,  so I love the fact that Kruto Vodka is local.” Larry g(EE)’s new single, “Sleeping in My Car” will be released on all digital platforms Friday, October 4.
