Black Heart Saints
Hailing from Austin, TX, Black Heart Saints is a bad-ass rock band making their name across the country. They are currently supporting Buckcherry on tour on select dates throughout the U.S.Black Heart Saints first formed about five years ago in Austin after guitarist Mark Sean found vocalist Josh Ross’ number on a flyer posted at a place where they both would rehearse.“I gave him a call, and the rest is history,” Sean says. “We’ve been sailing this ship as far as we can.”Since forming, Black Heart Saints has gone on to perform at ESPN X Games Austin and SXSW. Earlier this year, they were awarded Best Metal Band at the 2019 Austin Music Awards.“We’re a rock band,” Sean says. “Rock today is a very wide umbrella. We like to think that we mix the classic with some of the new. It’s the best of both worlds.”As of now, Black Heart Saints is working on a new EP called Misery, which is set for release in September. Misery is an eclectic mix of southern rock sounds and soulful funk tunes.“We’ve been working hard trying to move mountains, which is hard to do in this industry,” Ross says. “It’s an honor being acknowledged for the hard work we’ve been doing.”Black Heart Saints has played at various venues across the state, including Come and Take It in Austin, Warehouse Live in Houston and Trees in Dallas. They have also played at venues in Nashville. But no matter where they go, they will always ask for Kruto Vodka at the bars.“I love how smooth Kruto is,” Ross says. “I love how its something that I can drink by itself. It makes me feel great, man.”“It’s good to mix with your favorite sparkling water too,” Sean adds.Look out for Black Heart Saints’ new EP, Misery, coming this fall.
