Gearing up for Kruto signature cocktails at Burgers & Burgundy

Get ready for hand-crafted burgers with wine pairings, DJ entertainment and the reveal of DIFFA Style Council Ambassadors and House of DIFFA theme, next weekend at the Joule Hotel. This year will be Burgers & Burgundy’s ninth annual event presented by Celebrity Chef John Tesar and Terri Provencal. Hosted at the Eye at The Joule on Friday, October 6, Burgers & Burgundy  will benefit DIFFA/Dallas, The Dallas Chapter of Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and run until 9:30 p.m.

“The group of chefs we’ve put together for this year’s Burgers & Burgundy really excites me,” said Chef Tesar, Bravo’s Top Chef and head of Dallas restaurant Knife. “It’s very humbling to have such renowned local and national chefs come together for this event year after year to help support such an important cause here in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.”

Funds raised from the event will go towards those who are affected by HIV/AIDS across North Texas as part of DIFFA/Dallas’ mission for prevention, education and awareness. “We are excited to continue the momentum this one-of-a-kind dining experience has created for the charity for almost a decade, where our supporters can have a wonderful time, knowing their contributions are going to agencies and people with the greatest need,” saids Phil Harrison Event Chair of DIFFA/Dallas.

The burger and wine pairings have been created as part of a challenge to serve the best burger to complement the wine of the chefs choice. These pairings will be prepared by Chef Tesar and renowned national local chefs at the event accompanied with entertainment by DJ Steffi Burns.

The celebrity chefs of the event this year include John Tesar of Knife, Justin Brunson, Celebrity Chef Old Major, Kris Morningstar, formerly of Terrine and Chris “CJ” Jacobson of ĒMA.

The local chefs include, Stephan Pyles of Flora Street Café, Jeramie Robison of Oak, Sharon Van Meter of 3015 at Trinity Groves, Brad Phillips of Asador, Blaine Staniford of Grace, Samir Dhurandhar of Nick & Sam’s, Josh Sutcliff of Mirador, Coner Seargeant of CBD Provisions, Christian Lehrmann of Wheelhouse, Rodman Shields of Common Table and Janice Provost Parigi.

Burgers and Burgundy this year will be sponsored by Kruto Vodka and will be providing two signature drinks: Kruto Collins and Kruto Madras.
